All over the place

Yesterday I had an interview at Target. It's for a part time evening job. I thought it went well. I guess we will see. I found out yesterday that the Waddells are seriously planning on moving to Oklahoma. I am sad, I will miss them so much. And they are having family dinner on Thursday and I won't be there. Shame on them, am I not the most important sister...they really should wait till I can be there. And then David, Christy, Shadow and I will be in St. George for the weekend and they won't be there....How Rude!!! Yesterday I went grocery shopping and I spent $230, that is more than I have ever spent at the grocery store. All the food I bought better last at least a month. I can't wait for Christy to start school. She has been so bored lately and has probably watched every movie that we have at least once, don't worry I have her read at least five books everyday and she bought a new Tinkerbell chapter book that she is reading. I am worried about her starting school. I went to register her the other day, the place was a mess!!! And the lady at the desk told me that white kids are the minority(kinda figured that out on my own), she couldn't tell me what supplies Christy needed and they don't even post the list for what class you are in till the weekend before school starts. Hopefully she won' need anything special on the first day. Today I have a headache(I know nothing special about that), so I don't think we will go swimming. Well I guess that's all. I hope everyone that reads this is doing well. We miss you and love you all.

This sucks!!!!

Let me start at the end and go back to the beginning. I HATE garages. I always thought that I would love to have one, no longer!!! I scratched the crap out of the passenger side of my car on the side of my lovely two car garage(not)!!!!! I said a few naughty words, luckily Christy was in the car still and I was on the outside surveying the damage. So back one step I went to Mervyns and tried to apply for a job on their ridiculous idea of a computer. What should have taken me 10 or 15 minutes took me almost forty five to complete. Needless to say all this for a possibility of a part time job that pays $8.10 an hour. WHY?????? So back another step, Christy and I went to Target so I could apply for a job. I would like to work their, it would be a change of pace and a totally new experience. Then back another step. Last night was horrible, David and I had a little tiff about Tasha...just so you all know I don't hate her. Poor David I am so moody sometimes and I usually end up taking it out on him. Not to mention that lately I feel like a big fat, useless, lazy person. I do nothing. I sit at home and read and eat. Not helping anything!!! I feel useless without a job. I feel like I am nothing! Enough about my self pity. I am so lucky with all the blessings that I do have. I miss my family and having things be in a routine. Oh well, I get to be with David and that is more important.

I'm Home

Finally Christy and I are home. We got home late Friday evening. Saturday David was on duty so Christy and I cleaned and put stuff away. We went shopping too. We found a way cute bed set for David and I's bed. Sunday David got home 10 minutes before church. We were a little late so we had to sit in the back. And for once Christy was good and reverent during sacrament meeting. Poor David he was so tired. Today Christy and I are going exploring on foot. I am already bored. I need to find a job quick or I will go crazy!!!!!!! Hopefully I can hold out till Christy starts school. I think that would be best. San Diego is so different than Utah. I have never before been the minority. Being white and LDS you fit in in Utah, it's so different here. It will be a good learning experience. Well just so you all know you are invited to visit whenever you please. We would love to have you. I miss you all already. The funny thing is I talked to Amber more on Saturday than I usually do in a week. Well Christy and I are off to explore. :)

Kind of Personal

This post is kinda personal but like Amber says.....remember it's a journal. So everyone knows that David and I want to have a baby. I am not exactly fertile Mertile. This morning I went in to see my OB. My physical exam was normal, besides the fact that I have not ovulated in over two months(not uncommon for me). So he suggested that I go on the fertility drug Clomid. He gave me a prescription to start my period and then the prescription for the fertility drug. He told me that on my own where I only ovulate on average three times a year, that it would take between two and five years to get pregnant on my own. I can't wait that long. My doctor said that on average women who take this drug are pregnant within four months....Oh I hope it works for me. The doctor also said that fertility drugs increase the rate of multiple births. Regularly the rate for twins is one in every one hundred births. On Clomid the rate for twins is one in every fifty and higher multiples the rate is one in five hundred. I can live with the higher risks of multiples if it means I can have a baby. Some of the side effects are tender breasts, mood swings(poor David), nausea, headaches, etc... I can also live with the side effects. I am hoping and praying that this medication works. I am so very blessed that I have a husband who is willing to go thru this with me. David is so amazing, and I more amazed with every new challenge and every new step we take in our live together. I am so grateful that he loves me so much and that he wants the best for us. I love David!!!! Sorry if that seems a little cheesy.

Family Reunion

This past weekend Christy and I attended the Jay and Arlean Beasley Family reunion in Idaho Falls. The reunion started on Thursday. Christy and I couldn't leave till after work on Friday. We actually ended up leaving at 12:45am on Saturday. We got to the campgrounds just in time for breakfast. After breakfast there were activities and games and visiting. We had yummy hot dogs and hamburgers for lunch. After lunch we had the auction. Much money was raised from the auction. Mom bought two crocheted baby beanies. One is pink and one is green. I bought a jar of plum jam that mom knocked off the bench and it broke. Luckily no one was cut with flying glass and Milton got busy right away cleaning it up. Somehow I ended up with a second jar of jam. Thanks for the secret elf who was looking after me :) Saturday evening we all met at the church for a catered dinner and dancing. Dinner was yummy and we had so much fun dancing. You should see Aunt Michelle do the sprinkler!!!! We all got out there on the dance floor and let loose. It really was so much fun. It's been a long time since I have attended an activity like this. We were celebrating Grandma and Grandpa's 60 th wedding anniversary. Sunday we all went to church with grandma and grandpa. We more than doubled their ward with our family. It was nice to attend church with so many family members. After church we all went to the park for lunch and the birthday bash. Christy and I left before the birthday bash. We had such a long drive home and we had to stop in Provo. There were so many family members that I met for this first time this weekend. It has been quite a while since I have been to a reunion. It was nice to get to know everyone. Christy and I stopped in Provo on our way home so Christy could put a birthday card on her dads grave. His birthday is on the 21st but there was no other time we could visit his grave. Christy made a birthday card, that she put on the grave and we sang Happy Birthday. Then we went to Olive Garden with Grandma Cosgrove. We got home around 12:45am this morning. What a long and full weekend.
Aunt Celia reading and taking a minute for herself amid the chaos.
Jackie and Christy playing in the water. Jackie is three months older than Christy and this weekend was the first time they have met. They had fun together.
Jared and Crystal at the dance. Who knows what they are doing in this picture.
Man I look YUCKY. This is what we look like after spending all day in the sun and then rapidly getting ready for dinner and a dance.
Mom and Pop. Mom had eye surgery recently. Now she can see without her glasses. We really had such a good weekend. I am so very blessed with so many awesome family members.
