Enterprise, St. George and Overton

Last Wednesday morning I headed to St. George. Christy was up in Provo with her Grandma Cosgrove and David was on the boat so I had a lot of time to myself. Wednesday evening I hung out with my mom. Thursday morning I got up and headed to Enterprise to get my car safety inspected. Can you believe it was snowing. I left mid seventy weather in San Diego for snow! I went to the shop and saw Dean, Deann, Bryan and, well everyone else that works there. Then I went and visited with Rachelle. It was nice to see her and Jack and Cole. Jack doesn't talk to me very much. Cole is such a cute baby. When I got back to St. George I did some shopping. Then I met the Slack family for dinner at Pasta Factory. It was so good to see Margie and her family. Margie is one of my really good friends from St. George, we worked together for a while. Pasta Factory is one of my favorite places to eat. Oh yeah and for lunch on Thursday I went to Jimmy Johns and had a number 12 with extra avocado. I miss Jimmy Johns, Californians don't know what Jimmy Johns is. Friday I spent some time at ZIO. Christy(not my daughter) had me laughing so hard. Cami waxed my eyebrows(she did and amazing job), and then Cami, Christy and I had lunch together. Friday evening I went to a shoe party with Alisha and Kayley. Don't worry David I didn't buy anything. It was my first shoe party and it was fun. Saturday I drove to Fillmore and picked up Christy then we stopped in St. George so Christy could see Poppa and grandma. Then we drove to Salinas house. Christy had such a good time in Overton she loves to play with Alexa and Emma. She wasn't so sure about the boys. Poor Christy she has no ideas what brothers are like. We spent Sunday and Monday morning there as well. Yesterday we came home. It is good to be home! And today hopefully David will be home.

Sunday it was warm so Salina made shaved ice for the kids. They used Jello for the flavoring.

Thanks Salina for letting Christy and I come invade your house for a few days. We had a great time.

Margie and Addi at Pasta Factory.
I am really glad that I got to spend some time with Margie. She is such a good friend to me. Her daughter is so beautiful.
Addison, her dad David is in the background.

And finally momma. Monday was Mommas birthday. She is 29 or is it finally 30, I'm not sure. I love my momma so much. She has done so much for me. She has always been there for me through all my troubles and she seems to understand so much, even without me telling her. Thanks for all your help and love. I couldn't do it without you!

Disneyland, Legoland, and the rest of our busy crazy week.

So anyways the computer I am using is being retarded so somehow my legoland pictures did not make it on this post. Thursday we got up early and headed to Disneyland. We were there pretty late. We had a fairly good day, only a little whining from the girls and me! None of us felt real great. We took our own lunch and snacks, so we saved a bunch of money. We splurged on dinner and went to Rain Forest Cafe. And David being as good as he is carried the girly back pack around most of the day.
Friday we went to Legoland, it was better than I thought it would be. Both the girls had a lot of fun and we got Shadow to go on some of the roller coasters there.
Saturday the girls got Easter baskets, then we headed to Vegas. We dropped Shadow off at her moms house. Sunday we took Christy to the airport and she flew to Salt Lake to spend the week with grandma.
When David and I got back to San Diego we headed straight to Balboa ER. I have not felt good for over two weeks. I have had bad headaches, my throat has hurt and my ears hurt. I have strep throat and both my ears are infected. Poor David has spent the last week getting up with me in the middle of the night and helping me. He had to drive the whole time too to all our adventures. Thanks David for helping me so much!
Last night David was so good when we got home. He cleaned a good majority of the house. Last week I let the house go because I felt so yucky and he knows how much that bothers me to have a messy house. Thankfully today and tomorrow I will be by myself so I can get everything clean before I head to St. George.
David leaves on Tuesday for workups. He is scheduled to be home on Friday and then leave again next Monday. I worry about him because I won't be there when he is home for the weekend.

Busy Week

Last week David had a three day work week and this week he only has a three day work week. It has been really nice having him home so much and being able to do so many activities together as a family. Friday we went and picked Shadow up. We got home late Friday evening so when we got home the girls went right to bed. Saturday we had a picnic at the beach and then we went and watched "Coraline". I was disappointed with the movie. There was some partial nudity and some language that I don't approve of. Sunday we got up early and drove to Anaheim to Connie and Terry's house. We had yummy breakfast burritos that Wendy made. We watched conference with the Andersen's. For lunch we had sandwiches, chips & dip and lots of yummy veggies and cheese. After conference we had yummy fruit cobbler that Aunt Connie made. Tammy came for the second session of conference. It was a very good day, both the girls were very good and they paid attention some of the time. It was nice to spend the day with the Andersen's. Monday Christy, Shadow and I all had dentists appointments. We each had x-rays and a cleaning done. I was not very impressed with the dentist it's a good thing that we were only going for a cleaning. We went swimming in the afternoon. And after dinner we had family home evening. Tuesday we went swimming, the girls played and Christy had her counseling appointment. I picked up Davids uniforms that I ordered two weeks ago. Of course it wasn't as easy as just going to pick them up. The name tapes that were ordered were not ready so I ran home and dug around and found two name tapes that I thought would work. Come to find out the name tape that I had them put on his coveralls is actually a name tape for the back of the utility pants. And the coveralls are the wrong size. I told David that from now on I am not taking care of his uniforms, he can do it! I was too stressed out after all that. Last night Christy had some green eye boogers and said that her eye felt puffy and itched. This morning she said her ear hurt and their was eye gunk in both of her eyes. I called her pediatrician and they couldn't see her till 6:40pm. I gave Christy some cold and allergy medicine and some childrens Tylenol. She went up to her bed and laid down and was crying. I felt so bad for her. Christy hardly ever gets sick. I decided that we were not going to wait until this evening for an appointment so we went to Balboa ER. We were in and out of the ER in an hour, that's a record for Balboa. Then we had to wait a half hour to get her prescriptions. Poor Christy has pink eye and an ear infection. She has three different meds that she has to take. Her poor little eye is all pink and puffy. At least she feels better now. No more swimming! The girls are getting along so much better. Today they both helped put laundry away without complaining. Tomorrow we are off to Disneyland, Friday we are going to Legoland, Saturday we are celebrating Easter with the girls and driving to Vegas. Sunday Christy has a flight to Salt Lake. She will be spending the week with Grandma Cosgrove. Then next week I will be in St. George for a few days and then I am planning on spending a few days in Overton after I pick up Christy next Saturday. David will be out on work ups for the better part of the next two weeks. I am glad that we are having all this time together before David leaving again.

Cotton Candy

Yesterday as we were driving to Vegas we passed a couple of diesels that had sheep in their trucks. Christy asked what they were and I told her sheep. Then she asked where they were taking them. I told her the trucks were taking the sheep to farms, most likely to slaughter them. She asked if they were going to cut their hair off. I said they will probably sheer them to make cotton(um hello Rebecca, really cotton?). David starts laughing and says you mean wool? At the same time Christy in the back seat asks if that's how they make cotton candy. Oh yes, Christy that is exactly how cotton candy is made from sheep's hair! That's the story now, so next time she asks for cotton candy I will remind her that its made from sheep's hair. Oh boy I can't believe how dumb I am and how that all worked out.
