Family Pictures January 2010 at Pioneer Park

On January 12, 2010 the Beasley family all met at Pioneer Park for family pictures. All but Sarah, her four kids and Shadow were there for pictures. Grandma Beasley figured this would be a good time for family pictures because most of the family were together in the area. We had an amazing photographer, Kellee Hindes. She took over 400 pictures all together. Enjoy :)

Our family!
All about Christy, she loves posing for the camera.

David and I

How cute, we are only missing Shadow!

This is my favorite picture of Christy!

There were so many beautiful pictures that were taken. This is only a small peek at them. Hopefully soon we will go have more family pictures taken when we have Shadow with us.

Thanks Kellee for the beautiful pictures!

Davids Home

On Saturday January 9th I picked David up at the San Diego airport. I was a little late due to poor time management. I have to admit I cried a little when I saw him, but so did David! It seemed that time was of no consequence when I hugged him. We hugged so tight and for so long. Neither of us wanted to let go of the other. I cannot adequately explain how much I love David and at that moment my love seem to grow by a billion. After we left the airport we headed to the theatre. David wanted to take me to see Avatar. I have to admit that I was not 100% looking forward to the movie but David had seen it in Bahrain and really enjoyed it. I loved it, besides the fact that it was in three D, and watching a movie in three D with a headache is not the best experience. David and I spent Saturday and Sunday night at the Worldmark resort in Oceanside. Sunday we spent the day in Disneyland. It was so nice to have so much time just the two of us! Thanks to all my family for taking Christy!!! Monday morning we went onto base and went to the housing office. We met with one of the housing specialist and picked a house in Serra Mesa. We also set up a time to sign the lease and a move in date. After that we headed to Las Vegas. We spent Monday night at the Luxor. We had a really great room that I had gotten a great rate on. Tuesday we headed home to St. George. I am so glad that David is home. I look back on the past five and a half months that he was gone and it doesn't seem like that long of a time anymore. I am so grateful to all my family and friends that helped me through my first and hopefully only deployment. I am so excited that David is home!!!

David and I at Disneyland.

Huntington Beach and Disneyland

Christy and I went to California with the Waddells, Grandma Beasley and Crystal. We went to Huntington Beach and Disneyland. It was Amber's boys first time at Disneyland.

We went to Huntington Beach. It was really overcast, foggy and cold. You can kinda see the Waddell family. We didn't stay very long because it was chilly.
Here is Kenneth in line for Pirates, he was so excited he couldn't wait!
Kenneth looks happy. It was so much fun to go with the boys because it was their first time. They were so excited. Disneyland was getting kinda boring for me because Christy and I went so much last year. So thank you Buddy and Kenneth for making it fun this time :)

Amber and I!!
My favorite sister (sorry Sarah, Alisha and Crystal)
I am so very happy that I got to spend some time with Amber. It has been hard for me to have her so far away.
We sure had a good time!
I love you Berma!

Fun With the Waddells

The Waddell family came to St. George in December for a month long visit. We were so happy that they were able to come. I have really missed them. I used to be able to go visit them anytime. When Christy first saw Kenneth she went over to him and said "Hi Buddy", I thought it was so funny. Kenneth didn't really want anything to do with me. He warmed up a little over time. We had so much fun spending time with them! We went to Pioneer park with the Waddells. Buddy trying to push the rock. It was so cute!
Kenneth, Buddy and Christy.

Kenneth and I at Grandmas house. He actually let me sit by him for a few minutes.
Kenneth and Kayley. I tried to get them both to smile for me, as you can see Kayley had other ideas.
Buddy is the cutest thing, when you ask him what his name is he says "puppy boy". He was so excited about his TOY gun he got for Christmas. Kenneth was so cute to watch with Gizmo. I can't wait till we can go visit them in Oklahoma.

Update

My house is a mess, there are boxes everywhere and right now I know where nothing is. My next post might not be till next week sometime. We are getting ready to move. Three fourths of the house is in boxes and the rest is in disarray. We are set to load the moving truck Monday evening. Tuesday morning we will head to California. David and his dad will be driving the moving truck, I will drive our car and Davids mom will be following in her car. Wednesday morning David and I will sign the lease. As soon as we sign the lease we can move in. We are excited to be moving back to San Diego. We will be living in the Serra Mesa area in The Village at Serra Mesa. Hopefully things will go smoothly with the move. David and i really appreciate all those who have helped, who have volunteered to help and those who will be helping. We couldn't do it without any of you!!!

Goodbye Civic

So when I moved back to St. George I put our Honda Civic on a storage plan with our auto insurance. It was sitting in my parents driveway up till the point that Amber and Danni came. I would drive it a couple miles each month. When Amber and Danni came I drove the Civic to my house and parked it in the car port. A few weeks ago I had to drive the Civic to work because my Accord had a flat tire. The second day that I tried to drive it it wouldn't go. The car was in drive and I was pushing on the gas and the car would not go. I parked it on the side of the road. Then I had it towed to the mechanic. The mechanic cleaned and lubricated the gear shift. So David and I went and picked up the car from the mechanic and on the way home the car did the same thing. We called dad and we towed the car back to the mechanic. Come to find out he thought something was wrong with the transmission and that's not something he can check or fix. So we towed the car to a transmission place. With a quote of $2200 David and I decided that it was not worth it to us to fix the car. Not to mention that while the car was at the first mechanic I had the drivers side window fixed which only cost about two hundred dollars. So we towed the car once again, this time to Rodolfo's car lot. He is going to take the car to the auction for us and try to sell it. I bought the Civic back in 2007. The Civic is the car that I have had for the longest. I have a track record of totalling cars after having them for about only two years. So this is goodbye to my Civic and hello to being a one car family!

After I picked him up from the airport we went and watched Avatar. I liked the movie. Saturday and Sunday nights David and I spent in Oceanside at the WorldMark resort. Sunday David and I spent the day in Disneyland. It was so mice to spend time just the two of us. Monday morning we got up and went to breakfast then we went to the military housing office. By the time we left the housing office we had a house :) We will be living in the Village at Serra Mesa. It's the military housing village in the Mission Valley area. After the housing office we drove to Las Vegas. David and I took Shadow to Chuck E Cheese for dinner. Monday night David and I spent the night at the Luxor. We drove home today. This afternoon we had family pictures. It is so great to have David home!!! The past five months went by both fast and slow. I am just glad that David's deployment is over. We will be in St. George till the end of the month. David will be attached to the Construction Battalion unit in Coronado, Ca. He will be on the supply end of things. I am so glad that David is home and that our little family is back together again. Hopefully next post there will be pictures.
