Road Runners
Tonight Christy and I went to the Road Runners game with grandma and poppa. Zion Orthopaedics gets four free tickets to every game and the employees get to use them. So tonight I used them. Last season Christy and I went to a game and ended up leaving early. Tonight we stayed for the whole game. The score was 9 to 4, the Road Runners lost. But we had a good time.
The last three days David has been in Yokosuka, Japan. It has been really nice because when David is in port he gets to call more often and for longer periods of time. Today we talked for almost an hour. David is doing very well. He has been studying hard for his rank advancement test so this port visit has been a nice break for him.

Swimming
Last night Christy and I went swimming with the Bushars. The Bushars rented out the St. George city pool. We had so much fun. We got to swim from 8:30 till 10pm. Christy discovered that she likes to jump off the diving board. I was a little nervous when she told me that she wanted to try. I went over by the diving boards to make sure she would be okay. She did great. That was her first time, of course she had to do it several more times. She is such a great swimmer. She also loves going down the Hydrotube. She yells all the way down and then when she gets out she asks if you heard her? We had so much fun last night. It was really nice to spend time with all the family. Sorry there are no pictures.

Just for me....
and just because this is like a journal. This week has been a hard week. I have had this feeling that David is not doing very well on the ship. Hopefully soon they will pull into their first port and David can have a few days off. Another thing is that today is Jims birthday. I drove Christy to Fillmore today so she could spend the weekend with Grandma Cosgrove. The drive brought back a lot of memories. I think about all the things that Christy will miss with her dad being gone. I know that she still misses him so much! Another thing is this would be the week of the due date of the second baby that I lost. Another thing that has me down. And I really, really miss David. It has been hard, and when I have a bad week it makes me miss David that much more.
On the positive side I have so many things to be grateful for. I was able to go back to work at my old job which saves me a lot of time training and started me on a higher pay scale. Also I already know my co-workers. Also Christy is really enjoying school, she already has friends. Also Crystal has been such a good kid tender. I am so glad that she is watching Christy. Also our rental is really not that bad. And I am so grateful that I get to talk to David at least once a week and we get to email several times daily.

School and the fair.
Well I finished my first week back at work. It was an okay week. Christy started school on Thursday. She goes to Little Valley Elementary. She is in third grade and her teacher is Mrs. Calderwood. Christy's classroom is out in a portable. She already has friends in her class and so far likes school. She is a little ahead because David worked with her last school year on times tables and the last few months she has been working on writing in cursive. This week we went to the Washington County Fair. It was okay. I remember that there used to be alot more booths and more rides. Christy had a good time. She went on a few rides. We saw the Limb family while we were at the fair. Their kids are so adorable!
Orders came out for August. David emailed me a copy of the orders. Hopefully this month there will be something for us. David is busy out at sea. There was another RAS today, and they take up most of the day.

Things get better I just stress to much.
Well this past week has been up and down. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to get Christy into Little Valley elementary. I went and met with the principal today and he gave his ok! Yea one of my worries gone. But then the secretary informed me that Christy was missing her second Hep A shot! And she had to have it done before she can start school. So then comes the task of finding someone to give it to her. Along with that comes the fact that yesterday I was informed that Christy and I have no medical coverage here in Southern Utah. David is going to try and fix this for me, but that could take a while since he is really busy and in the middle of the ocean. Luckily Christy's old pediatrician had a cancellation today. So Crystal being the superstar that she is took Christy, Michael and Kayley to that appointment. Now Christy can go to school on Thursday.
Things at the rental are looking good. The locks (well the storage lock at least) are fixed. We got the internet hooked up and things are mostly put away.
Monday I go to orientation for IHC and Tuesday I start working. I am both excited and sad. It has been so nice to not have to work the past little while. It will be hard to give up all that freedom, but it will also save me from a tremendous amount of boredom I know I would have.
I got my hair done today :) And I love it. Lucinda highlighted it, trimmed it and put in some colored extensions for me. I love the way it turned out!!! Pictures included below.
David is doing good. He is studying hard for his upcoming rank advancement test. We are hoping he will make E5 before he comes home. This past week a water heater in one of the store rooms was leaking and David was in charge of the clean up crew. Also they had a RAS (replenishment at Sea) which keeps David very busy. He is one of the certified fork lift drivers. We email daily and he calls on Sundays. We still don't know where we will be stationed when David comes home. I am crossing my fingers for Hawaii :)
Crystal is a great roommate! She will be watching Christy while I am at work. Lucky her!
Well here's to things looking better and better..... The Kitchen in the rental. The corner cupboard space works nicely for all my jars.
