When we lived in St. George Grandma and Poppa were kind enough to let Christy use their doll house that us girls used growing up. It was a large doll house with two large rooms on each of two levels. Christy loved using it with her numerous Barbies and Bratz dolls. When we moved we had to leave the doll house in St. George. So I went to Michael's and bought one. I got it for fifty percent off. :) I love coupons!!! Anyways I sanded it and Christy helped me paint(she helped a little, I did most of it). It is now finished and just in time because I start work tomorrow. Here are some pictures. Christy is happy to finally have a house for her Barbies and Bratz.

New Phone
So yesterday David, Christy and I went to the Sprint store. My plan was up and I was due for a new phone. My old phone was a piece of crap. I had taped a bead on it so when I closed it the inside screen would go off. All the extra pads had fallen off and it was scratched very badly. We decided to go with a family share plan. So David and I both got new phones (they were buy one get one free) and we added Christy a line as well. And all this will be cheaper than what we were paying on our two separate plans combined. So here is my cute new phone. Mine is green, Davids is black and Christy got Davids old phone.

I have a job
So after three interviews with La Jolla Spine Institute I now have a job. I start on the first. Now I have to find daycare and switch Christy to a new and better school before the first. :)

It finally happened...
My whole life I have heard stories of people being pooped on by passing birds. I never wanted that to happen to me and always wondered how you would avoid it. Well here in San Diego there are tons of annoying birds. Yesterday Christy and I were at this outdoor mall in downtown and a bird pooped on my arm. I was so grossed out, and of course I didn't have any napkins or wet wipes. I dug around in my purse and found a receipt that I didn't need and wiped as much as I could off and then when I got home cleaned my arm. GROSS!!!!!! I guess I should be thankful the poo only got my arm.

Phone Time
So last night I called a few of my family members. I called Crystal (it was her birthday), I called Amber and I called mom. I was on the phone for a long time, but it was good. I asked mom if she gets bored and if she misses having me and Christy live across the street. She said that after school everyday she is on the phone with her kids. Now just so you know I don't call mom everyday(I think it must be Crystal-she's very needy)!!! J/K Crystal! Mom said that she misses Christy the most (yes Amber thats right, thats what mom said)!!! :) She kinda feels like Christy is hers. Mom watched Christy everyday and took Christy to school everyday for a long time. I know that Christy really misses everyone from home. It was really good to talk to Amber last night. I miss her so much! It's hard, I thought that once I moved back to St. George that I would always be close to Amber. It's funny how our paths change and we are taken to different parts of the country. Now Amber and I can't share maternity clothes and baby clothes and be pregnant together while we live close by. I love my family and I miss them!
On a side note I have had two interviews so far with La Jolla Spine, and Friday I go in for a third. I hope I get this job. Even though it would require some driving everyday I think it would be a good job for me and my family. The only bad thing is if I do get this job Christy has to go back to daycare.
Oh another side note (sorry). The past four or five days have been so good. I have felt really good and I haven't had any of my dumb moods (I am sure David is very grateful). I have felt good and only had slight headaches. :)

Allowance and Such
So David and I are trying a few new things with Christy. We really want to change some of her behaviors and we want her to start acting like a little lady. We have set up a point system. Christy gets points for chores, baths, no fits, helping with laundry and dishes, and a few other things. At the end of the week we add up her points and she can exchange them for prizes. She also gets $3.00 allowance each week. Man she has it good! Points that turn into prizes and money. So far its helping. And at the same time she is learning more about tithing. Sunday Christy finally lost her second tooth from up top. Sunday night she put her tooth under her pillow so the tooth fairy could come, believe it or not the tooth fairy forgot! OOPS. David told her the tooth fairy doesn't work on Sundays(good save). So last night David tried to put money under her pillow and she woke up. David made some excuse but he wasn't able to get her tooth. So this morning David went in to try and grab the tooth and she woke up!!! She saw that her tooth was still there as was the money. Christy told David that the tooth fairies bag must have been to full to take her tooth. David told Christy that he would take her tooth and write the tooth fairy a note. I guess from now on I should continue to be the tooth fairy.

Complaining Again
I do not like Christy's school at all. She has learned nothing since she started. When she comes home I ask her what they did in school and she says, we read, we danced, we listened to music. I ask if they do spelling and she says no. No spelling, and her math is adding ones, and zeros to numbers. I am so frustrated. And to top it all off yesterday George Washington Academy called and said they had an opening for Christy and they wanted to get her all set up to start attending. I refuse to let her get behind in school so everyday after school David works with her on math and I do spelling and writing. She would be better off home schooled. I am seriously thinking about home schooling her.

This is for you Amber
So I always made fun of Amber and her couch. I am so sorry, I will never make fun of your couch again. So here's the story on my couch. When I first moved into my parents old house in 2003 I went to DI (being a poor single mom and all) and bought a white love seat for $15. That was my couch. It worked for the time being. Amber had a lovely blue couch at her house. Amber and I both would try to use blankets and throws in creative ways to make our couches look more appealing. Yes I know LAME!!! Anyways when Davids parents brought a rental truck full of our stuff from St. George here to San Diego they stopped in Vegas and picked up a couch that had been sitting outside at Tasha's house. Now this couch is an ugly purple gray and has no cushions(at least we don't have them). So this couch is now sitting in our living room and till today had been a dumping ground for things I was too lazy to put away. Today I cleaned the couch :) I took everything off the couch and vacuumed it really good. I was gagging and I was vacuuming it. What can I say the couch repulses me. So I cleaned it and then to make cushions I got extra blankets and folded them to fit the couch and then I covered the whole thing with a blanket that my Grandma Beasley made for me. It looks so ghetto. I can't wait for David to come home and see it. I wonder what he will think. As soon as I get a job I WILL be buying a new couch and matching love seat. Enjoy the pictures.

Jobs, Church, Headaches
Oh boy yesterday was a long day. It started like normal with Christy getting ready for school and waiting by the door for Evelyn. After she leaves for school I go back to sleep. I had an appointment with the church employment specialist at 1:00pm. So I got all showered, dressed and ready and made my way to Mercury street(somewhere in San Diego). I got off on the wrong exit and ended up on another freeway, luckily it had access to the same exit I needed. I was there for 2 hours and 45 minutes! And the worst part of the whole thing is that I don't really feel like it helped me at all. Thankfully Evelyns mom had agreed to let Christy come to their house after school. By the time I got home I had a mother of a headache. One of them that regular meds aren't going to touch. I took a Maxalt and laid down. I couldn't rest though because David called and needed information on one of the cars and I had to make my way to the garage to get it. Since I was up Christy and I went grocery shopping. Yuck, I spend so much money every time I go to the grocery store. After shopping I got in a twenty minute nap(thank you Maxalt). Then I freshened up and Christy and I drove to the church for enrichment night. Christy played in the nursery so I could listen to the lesson and have a good time. We had a good lesson and then we had dinner. We had an activity where you write your name on a sheet of paper and then it gets passed around the room and everyone writes a little tid bit on it. It was nice and it was a good way for me to get to know more of the ladies in the ward. The table that I sat at had two sisters that I had already met and four that were new to me. So I met more sisters in the ward. I had a good time. Then I had to go home and sleep alone. I don't like duty days, but I guess that goes along with being married to a navy man. On a very good note I called and found two offices that were hiring. Now if I can just get the fax machine in the office to work!! Amber I miss you terribly! I can't believe that you are so far away.

Side Effects
So here are the side effects that I have noticed with Provera and Clomid. The Provera did its job. I had my monthly visit from "Aunt Flow". It was two days longer than normal, regular flow but my cramps and headaches were out of control. The first two days on the Clomid I didn't notice anything. But the third night I had a horrible night. I was physically sick. I was in the bathroom for so long. Since then I have had worse headaches than normal, my moods are out of control, I have cramps and I am always hot! I set the thermostat at 68 and still sweat while David and Christy freeze. I just can't cool off and it seems the heat is worse at night. I finished the Clomid on Saturday but am still having these side effects. All I can say is that this better work. Poor David can't handle anymore of my moods!!!
On a different note I had a revelation of sorts on Sunday in Relief Society. I was once again reminded that Heavenly Father is aware of our needs and the needs of those around us. I have been feeling sorry for myself and being bored out of my mind the last few weeks with not having a job. Yesterday our lesson was on our time and how we use it. Listening to the lesson I realized that Heavenly Father knew that this transition would be hard for Christy, for all of us. I realized that me not having a job has been a blessing. I have spent more time with Christy since moving here than I have since she was a year and a half old. The last few weeks I have been able to take her swimming. I did not realize how good of a swimmer she was. We have been able to go shopping, watch movies together, read and go to the park together. I feel like now that she is in school that the job that will fit mine and my families needs will be easier to find. I guess I need those little reminders that life is precious and that just because it's not going how I think it should that that is okay. I am so grateful for all my blessings, and I am so glad that I was in church yesterday and that I was paying attention to the spirit and the prompting and whisperings I felt.

Shadow
This is a picture of Shadow on her first day of school. Sorry it's small. The picture was emailed to David and then he emailed it to me. Shadow started Kindergarten this year. She goes to school in Las Vegas. She is required to wear a uniform to school. From what information David gets and passes on to me, she seems to like school. I guess she already has a "boyfriend". David worries about that, but at her age it's harmless fun. We sure do miss Shadow.

Will there be another ring?
I bought Davids' wedding ring the day before we got married. We went to Kay jewelers in St. George and David picked out a tungsten one that he liked. They only had it in size ten and it would take them a few weeks to get a different size in. We decided that we didn't want to wait and even though the ring was a little big we bought it. I didn't want to get married and David not have a ring. Anyways, when David would wash his hands the ring would slide down and off his finger so he started taking the ring off and setting it on the sink till he was done washing his hands. While it happened that while he was on the ship he took his ring off to wash his hands and he forgot to put it back on. Later that evening after David got home and we had dinner I noticed he wasn't wearing it. That's when he remembered he had not put the ring back on after washing his hands. The next day David looked for his ring but of course it was no where to be seen. So this past weekend while in St. George we went to Kay jewelers and looked at rings. When the time is right we will buy another ring, and this time we will get one that fits. Maybe I should go buy him a five dollar ring just so he has something to wear!
We had a good time this weekend. Friday when David got home I had everything ready and packed in the car so we could leave. We stopped in Vegas to pick up Shadow then we drove to St. George. We spent Friday night at my parents house. Saturday we got up and got a few things packed that I had left in St. George then we went to the mall. Aeropostale was having a sale!! SO of course I had to get a few things. They had t-shirts for five bucks. I got the cutest pink shirt with aeropostale written across the front. While David and the girls looked at rings I went to Maurices and found a cute outfit that I can wear to interviews....speaking of interviews I got an email today from Target saying they were unable to offer me a job!!!! Give me a break they turned me down in an email. I am so frustrated I don't understand why they don't want me to work there. But I also know that David and I have been praying about this and I know that when it's the right job and the right time and the circumstances are right I will find a job. I just need to be patient and keep looking.
I know I sat this in just about every post but I am so grateful for David. He has done so much for me in the short time i have known him. I love him so much, more than I ever thought was possible. Anyways back to the weekend, after shopping we went to Enterprise. David, Rachelle, Ann and I went up to the cabin so David could see it. While they were looking at the cabin I went and saw Gaile(she works in the clinic that I did), and we talked about how everything is going at work. :) hehehehe, Margie I already told you whats going on :) and a wink! Then we spent the rest of the weekend in Enterprise. We spent some time at Rachelle's house. They have a Wii, and I will just say that I think I would like to have a Wii, maybe that can be my Christmas gift from Santa :) I don't think David would mind. Sunday we went to church with the Bushars. After church we had an awesome dinner, thanks Ann and then we headed home. We had to stop at my parents house and pick up my mail and say hi to my mom, she just had eye surgery. Then of course we had to stop in Vegas and drop Shadow off. We made it home around 8:30pm. Monday David had duty and today school started. I miss St. George. I still don't know where a lot of things are here. Well that's all. I miss Amber a ton. I guess they are know in OK, but I guess her phone is roaming and I would feel bad calling her and making her have that expense.

First Day of School
Christy started second grade today. She goes to George Dewey Elementary and Ms. Allan is her teacher. There are 21 kids in her class. School is right down the road from our house. I walked her to school this morning and stayed with her until the teacher started the day. I hope that she will enjoy her class and make friends.
My cute little bug, now what am I going to do while she is in school? She looks so cute today!!
