Reunion

This past weekend Christy and I attended Grandma Humes Family reunion in Pine Valley. It was at the Bushar cabin. Christy and I got there Friday morning and left Sunday after church. It was a lot of fun. I took some pictures but they didn't turn out very well so I am choosing not to post them...sorry. We played lots of games and visited. Some of the highlights were: a run in with the police, seeing Logan pee in the grass, attending sacrament meeting in Pine Valley and visiting with family that we don't see that often. If you want to see pictures go to Aliese's blog. I am guessing she will be posting some. She always has the cutest posts! It was great to see the family that attended, but it was also good to come home. So much cooler here! Amber I am sorry that you didn't get to come and sorry that I called you and complained.

I can't think of a better place to spend a birthday. Happy birthday Christy! I love you BUG!

These two pictures are of a coin that David received as a special recognition on the ship. David was moved to a new office inside his department. For a while he was doing both his old and his new job. Luckily now he only has to worry about his new job. In his new office he has his own computer and desk. I am glad that he moved. Now he will be able to communicate more with me while he is gone and it seems that he will be a little less stressed in his new job.

Last Thursday for our anniversary we went to see Terminator 3. I enjoyed the movie. I have not seen the other Terminator movies. Then David and I went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse. Neither of us had been there before and we thoroughly enjoyed and stuffed ourselves. This might be my new favorite restaurant. On a side note St. George is getting a Brick Oven, one of my all time favorite restaurants. I ate at the one in Provo all the time. Crystal was nice enough to watch our girls for the evening. After dinner David and I headed to Pine Valley to spend the night at the cabin. It was nice to spend some quality time. Friday morning we got up late and drove to St. George. We went to the noon session with David's parents. They work in the cafeteria on Friday mornings. After the temple we went to Olive Garden with David's parents and his sister Deann. Then we went and picked up the girls. Friday evening we went and saw UP. It is a great family movie. Saturday we had family dinner at Alisha's. Thomas, Celia, Megan and TJ (family from Vernal) where there as well. Rodolfo bbq'd hamburgers and hot dogs. Yummy! Sunday we went to church with mom and dad. After church we had family dinner at moms house. We had Hawaiian haystacks. After lunch we dropped Shadow off in Vegas and we came home. Monday and Tuesday we hung out at home. Wednesday we went to Disneyland. We spent Wednesday evening at the Andersen's. Thursday we went to Disneyland for Christy's birthday. Grandma, Poppa and Crystal were there as well. Today we are hanging out around San Diego. We went bowling and toured Davids ship. It seems every time I go on there with David I learn something new. Grandma, Poppa and Crystal will be here till after church on Sunday. Then life will get back to normal (whatever normal is) at least for a little while. We are enjoying all the time that we spend together with all our family. We are spending as much time as we can together now before David leaves. Christy is the big eight years old. We are planning on baptizing her sometime in December. Oh, I got my birthday present from Amber! Beautiful emerald earrings. Thanks to Darrin for helping Amber out with my gift. I love them!

We made it one year.

David and I made it to one year. Today is our one year anniversary! This is a little letter to David.

Dear David,
Thank you for an amazing year. You are more than I ever dreamed I would find in a husband. During the time that I have know you I have grown so much due to your encouragement and love. Thank you for being so patient with me. Thank you for loving Christy as much as you do. I know that times have not always been easy or pleasant but you have endured and stuck with me thru all those trying times. I am so grateful for all that you do for me and all the love that you have given to me (even when as mom would say are one of those times that I'm being a Beasley women). I can't wait to be sealed to you for time and all eternity, and for us to bring more children into our home. There are no words to express how deeply I love you and how much you mean to me. I love you!
Love Rebecca

Dear Rebecca
This truly has been a year to remember. I love you so much. My love for you grows every day you have been my inspiration to be a better person. You are amazing, you are my soul mate in every way. With out you I would not be the person I am. I wish I could express how much I love you. I cant wait to have children with you to watch them grow up. You are stuck with me for ever.
Love your ETERNAL companion
David

Wednesday

Today started like all the others on this vacation, the girls were up with the sun. Bryan dropped his three boys off for Grandma Bushar to watch at about twenty after seven. After that there was no sleeping. David made me a yummy egg for breakfast. This morning the first ward in Enterprise had the primary activity. So off I went with Hector, Hunter, Taylor, Christy, Sahdow and Jack. The theme of the activity was the articles of faith. They had different stations set up with activities for the kids. They earned tokens at each of the stations and then they traded their tokens for lunch. They had hot dogs, chips, lemonade and cotton candy. Then back to Bushars for outside activity time. The kids spent a lot of time on the trampoline and in the bounce house.
Also this week since Christy is still in school, each morning her and I have sat down for about 45 minutes and done her homework. She reads a story and answers five questions pertaining to the story, she does spelling, four pages of math and a journal entry. It's hard for her to have to take the time to do it each morning while the other kids are out playing. Davids sister came by this afternoon and spent some time with David. This afternoon David and I went and put some flowers on Angel's grave. Angel was Davids first little girl she was born on December 23, 2000 and died on December 24, 2000. Tomorrow we plan on heading to St. George for the remainder of this week of our vacation. We sure our having a good time and enjoying family.

This is Angel's headstone. She is buried in the Enterprise cemetery by other Bushar family members.

Fun day

Today was such a fun day. We spent a lot of time four wheeling, and Grandma Bushar had the bounce house up and we went to the park for a picnic. The picnic did not last very long because it was very windy. We also walked to the sno cone shack and we all got sno cones :)

Christy, David and Ryan
Christy and Ryan are six months apart. Ryan is a super good wrestler. Him and David were wrestling today and David was fighting pretty hard. I ran to get my camera but by the time I got back they were done. My money was on Ryan.

Shadow, David and Jack
Jack is five years old, he is such a cute kid. When I first met him he was very shy towards me. Now he will talk to me.

Shadow
Thanks Grandma Bushar for buying helmets for the kids. I don't know for sure how grateful they are, look at Shadows face all squished in there ;)
It has been so nice to spend so much time together with family. We are really enjoying our vacation.

David, Enterprise and Girls

David came home :). We rested on Friday and did laundry and packed. Saturday we headed to Enterprise. We stopped in Vegas to pick up Shadow. As we were driving into Enterprise it was raining. It smelled absolutely amazing. It doesn't smell in San Diego when it rains. Sunday we went to church with the Bushars. Sunday was not a very good day. I have been trying so hard lately to teach Christy to listen in sacrament meeting. I no longer take treats or things to color with. This Sunday with cousins who had treats and markers that did not work so well, and when I told Christy no she let me and everyone else sitting by us how unhappy she was. Of course she ended up coloring and having treats and I left. Sunday after church we had dinner with a few of Davids family. Ann makes very good roast. Of course after church was a whole other disaster. I am also trying to teach Christy about keeping the Sabbath day holy and with all the cousins over here playing outside and jumping on the tramp that is very hard for her. She is almost eight and ready to be baptized and I want her to be the best little girl that she can be. Having Shadow with us is still really hard for Christy. She has been doing so good at home with not having fits and doing what I ask. Today she got to play with cousins all day. This morning David and I took our car to get an oil change and while that was being done we went with David's dad to one of his properties and helped pile up dead wood and weeds. Mind you through all this I was wearing sandals and capris. Now I am not opposed to hard work but if I had known thats what I would be doing I would have dressed differently. This afternoon a bunch of Davids family met up at the pool so everyone could swim. The girls had a lot of fun. After swimming there was a potluck dinner. I did not attend the dinner because I went to a girls night out with my mom, Alisha, Crystal and Jen. We went to Red Robin for dinner. We had a good time, it was a nice break. We will be here in the St. George area for the rest of the week. Hopefully we will be able to get a few of the things done on my to do list. Sorry the pictures aren't of very good quality.

Christy Lately

This post is all about Christy. Just FYI Christy has a new post on her blog as well.
Christy has been really busy lately. She is really enjoying school. She is improving in all areas. A couple weeks back she took a test and scored high enough to be put in the Gifted and Talented Cluster groups at her school. I am so proud of her. Christy has been reading Harry Potter. She only has one chapter left on the first book. She is excited to finish the first one and start the second one. I am glad that she picked up on my love of reading. Christy has had a couple of sleepovers lately and she gets playdates more often. She has made more friends at school and in our neighborhood. She has been doing better at home too, not so many fits. Christy will be turning eight soon, I can't believe how fast time goes. I know that her dad would be so proud of her! She is my baby and I love her so much!
