Complaining Again

I do not like Christy's school at all. She has learned nothing since she started. When she comes home I ask her what they did in school and she says, we read, we danced, we listened to music. I ask if they do spelling and she says no. No spelling, and her math is adding ones, and zeros to numbers. I am so frustrated. And to top it all off yesterday George Washington Academy called and said they had an opening for Christy and they wanted to get her all set up to start attending. I refuse to let her get behind in school so everyday after school David works with her on math and I do spelling and writing. She would be better off home schooled. I am seriously thinking about home schooling her.

You are doing a wonderful wonderful job of raising Christy. You would do a better job of teaching her the things she needs in school than the school would it sounds like. Try to stay clam and keep your mind focused on Christy like you always have done with this "worker". We will keep you in our thoughts and hope all goes well.

You don't think dancing and music is enough to learn? Gosh, it sounds like a full day of educational stuff! Homeschool her and do the daycare thing. I miss you and I don't have internet at home so I can't blog. I'm going through withdrawls!

That does sound very frustrating, Ryan's school work is harder than that and he's a year behind her. Hopefully it'll get harder, but hang in there. We love you, and the boys can't wait till you come visit again! ;o)

Sometimes the kids don't tell you everything they are learning. Mostly because they forget after a long day at school. You could always go and spend a day in her classroom to see for yourself just exactally what it is that they do. Good luck! Daycare and homeschooling is a great way to spend a day. Let me know if you need any help getting one started.
