So when I moved back to St. George I put our Honda Civic on a storage plan with our auto insurance. It was sitting in my parents driveway up till the point that Amber and Danni came. I would drive it a couple miles each month. When Amber and Danni came I drove the Civic to my house and parked it in the car port. A few weeks ago I had to drive the Civic to work because my Accord had a flat tire. The second day that I tried to drive it it wouldn't go. The car was in drive and I was pushing on the gas and the car would not go. I parked it on the side of the road. Then I had it towed to the mechanic. The mechanic cleaned and lubricated the gear shift. So David and I went and picked up the car from the mechanic and on the way home the car did the same thing. We called dad and we towed the car back to the mechanic. Come to find out he thought something was wrong with the transmission and that's not something he can check or fix. So we towed the car to a transmission place. With a quote of $2200 David and I decided that it was not worth it to us to fix the car. Not to mention that while the car was at the first mechanic I had the drivers side window fixed which only cost about two hundred dollars. So we towed the car once again, this time to Rodolfo's car lot. He is going to take the car to the auction for us and try to sell it. I bought the Civic back in 2007. The Civic is the car that I have had for the longest. I have a track record of totalling cars after having them for about only two years. So this is goodbye to my Civic and hello to being a one car family!

Aw, that sucks! I'm sorry. Hopefully being a one car family won't get too taxing. My sister and brother-in-law did that for a little while and it didn't last too long. That's awesome that Rodolfo is gonna try to get a decent price for it at an auction though!! That's always better than just a regular dealership trade-in.
We've been a one car family for eh, several years now. It's not too bad, but then again I am a homebody so I don't mind! Sorry you spent that money only to turn around and sell it!
Good thing that my Civic sold for $1800 :)
I'm sorry to hear about your car! It's not easy only having one car for a family.
