What's happening with the Bushars?

I have extremely neglected my blog. As you can tell it has been almost two months since the last post. I will do a quick run down of what has been going on in our lives.
For Halloween Christy dressed up as Sally from "Nightmare before Christmas" we dyed her hair with cherry Kool-aid and she still has a little red tinge in the bottom of her hair. Treyven wore an orange onesie that said "take me to my mummy". We went trick or treating around the housing then when we got home we handed out the candy that Christy had just received. Most of it she couldn't eat because of her braces and then we just don't eat a whole lot of candy in our house.

On Saturday November 5th we went to Knott's Berry Farm. Every November they have a special for military. The service member and one guest get in free and then you can buy up to six more passes for $17. DeAnn, Claudia, Hector and Christy's friend Morgan came with us.

Before church on November 6th I took this picture of the kids all dressed up. I seem to take an abundance of pictures of Treyven and very little pictures of the girls. Don't our kids look great? :)
During the first half of November David kept busy with appointments and meetings related to separation from the Navy and I was busy with dental appointments. On Monday November 14th one guy from the packing company came and packed our whole house. One guy packed our whole house and it didn't take him that long either. He commented on how much canned food that we had. When he was finished I was amazed at the amount of boxes, I was a little overwhelmed with all our stuff. Having the Navy move us was both a burden and a relief. You are not allowed to pack anything yourself and anything that you already have in boxes they have to open and do inventory. It was kind of embarrassing to know that that guy packed my "intimates". The relief was knowing that I didn't have to do any of it, no packing, lifting, loading or unloading.

On November 15th three guys from the moving company came and loaded all our stuff in the truck. It took three guys longer to load the truck than it took one guy to pack our whole house. After they movers left I walked around our empty house and started realizing that this move was really happening. :( Elder and Sister Pett (the Military Relations couple for our area) took us out to dinner. We had dinner at "Old Town Mexican Cafe", it was great to spend the evening with them. The Petts are a great blessing to all whom they serve. We spent that night at the WorldMark there in San Diego. Wednesday the 16th was David's last day at work and Christy's last day at Jones Elementary. We spent the night at the WorldMark in Oceanside.

Thursday Wendy got us into Disneyland. It was Treyven's first time at Disneyland. Wendy sat with Treyven while we went on Star Tours and Matterhorn. Treyven loved Winnie the Pooh, so many colors! When we went on Haunted Mansion Treyven was asleep until the end of the elevator and then when everyone screams he woke up and started to cry. We had a great time at Disneyland. We really appreciate Wendy getting us into the park one last time before we moved.
Friday the 18th David and Christy went to Universal studios and Treyven and I headed to St. George. We had a slight mishap in the morning that cost $190, but after we got that worked out we were on our way.

We spent a few nights at mom and dads house before we could move into our new place. The day before Thanksgiving the movers came and un-loaded all our stuff. I was once again amazed at all of our stuff. Our temporary home is a smaller three bedroom, two bathroom duplex. It is nice to have everything on the same floor but I feel somewhat cramped here. After we moved in it was discovered that there are termites in the house and the dishwasher had to be replaced. Our new ward is very small and the majority of the ward are elderly couples. But everyone seems very friendly.

We spent Thanksgiving at mom and dads house. After we ate a very yummy feast we spent time visiting and playing games. We spent some time outside and all the grandkids that were there helped decorate the shower curtain for our main bathroom. The kids made hand and foot print animals. They had a great time doing this.

We spent the first weekend of December at the cabin in Pine Valley with the Bushars for the Christmas party. Sunday we went to Sacrament meeting in Pine Valley and then had lunch. After lunch the younger grandkids hid and found presents from their cousins. Christy and Shadow both got a necklace with matching earrings and Treyven got a ring stacker toy. We spent a few minutes playing in the snow before we left.

Last weekend we went to our ward Christmas party. Both Christy and Treyven got to sit on Santa's lap. We had a good time getting to know other ward members and eating delicious food.
We are glad to be in St. George so that we can be closer to family. We are all slowly adjusting to life here and all the new changes. David is enjoying his job and is looking forward to starting school in January. It has been an adjustment for David to be the caregiver a couple days a week while I am at work. I was very blessed with a part time job back at the same clinic I had previously been working at. Christy is settling into her new school and making new friends. She is doing well in school. I have had a hard time being away from Treyven while working. Treyven is getting so big. He has been eating cereal for a while now. He still has no set schedule. I feed him when he's hungry and he sleeps on his own time. If we set him just right he will sit on his own for about 10 seconds. He is a very happy baby. We are setting things in motion to change David's visitation schedule so that we can have Shadow with us more often now that we live closer. We have been very blessed as we have gone through the past few months and all the changes that we have made. I will try to blog more often, now that we are finally settled.
