Random Happenings

We have been busy lately at our house. Packing, cleaning, visitors and deployment! If you walked into my house right now you would think that a bomb went off. It is such a mess. Well not really, it just that most of my household furnishings our now in my front room piled high and deep. I realized just how much stuff I really do have with all this packing. I am overwhelmed! I feel like I should throw half of it away. I am now starting to worry that I picked the wrong place to live in St. George. I am doubting that all my crap will fit in the townhome. I guess we will see. Christy and I are in St. George now. I will be going back to San Diego on Wednesday with my parents to load all my belongings on the truck. Davids ship pulls in on Wednesday around noon. I will get to see David for Wednesday afternoon and evening then Thursday he has duty and the ship is scheduled to pull out for good on Friday. I am excited that I get to see him one more time before he officially leaves. I fear that this next six months is going to be a challenge for us all.
Christy watching the Days of 47 parade with Papa while shelling pecans. Brings back so many memories.

Dean, David and Ann right before David got on the ship. Dean and Ann came and spent almost a week with us. They were a very big help with packing and cleaning. They also brought Christy and I to St. George and they dropped Shadow off in Vegas. I am so thankful for all they have done to help David and I.

Our little family before David got on the boat. I look horrible. David and I had to get up at 5:15. I drove David to base then went home hoping to get a little sleep before taking everyone back to base to see David off. I had just got home when David called saying the ship was pulling out earlier than he had been told. So I hurried everyone out of bed and in the car. There was no time for hair and makeup to be done.

I took Christy and Shadow to "All about the girl" for the monthly "Tea Party". They both got their hair done, their nails painted and glitter. Christy got a backpack and Shadow got a t-shirt. Then we went and had cookies and juice and watched lots of little girls sing karaoke. I found out via email that July 26th will be their last business day. It was a really fun place for the girls.
Random Things:
The girls have been getting along so much better.
Christy finally finished school. Hopefully while here in St. George I will get her registered for next year. I am hoping to get her into the same school as her cousin Michael.
The drivers side window on our Civic is broken. The glass doesn't stay up. Luckily the Civic will be parked for the next six months so the window is something that I can hold off fixing for now.
We still don't know where we will be stationed when David gets home. I am hoping we will find out in August.
I already miss San Diego. I love the weather, being so close to the beach, our house, the pool across the street, the ward we were in, being so close to Disneyland and other theme parks, and so many other things. I am so thankful for the year that I had to experience San Diego. And I am looking forward to our next adventure.
I am planning on being busy for the next week or so, so new posts might be scarce.

Sounds crazy!! I hope you get everything moved and packed okay! I'm SURE you don't have as much CRAP as we do. I'm trying to get rid of stuff for a garage sale. I would be so sad moving away from the beach! Hopefully in January we can really go to Disneyland and take the boys to the beach too! I hope that if we go, you can come with us!

Ugh...I know how you feel...I was only in SoCal for a few days and I miss it terribly. Pretty sure if I lived there, I'd never want to leave...Or go to work...
