Jammin it out!

I have always loved Jalapeno Jelly. It seems that every Beasley Family Reunion there are a few bottles for sale in the auction. I have never been able to end up with one. I decided that I would try making my own. I am sure that growing up I helped make jelly but have never attempted it on my own. Today I decided to be brave. At the food exchange today I got 12 6oz packages of fresh raspberries so I decided to make Raspberry Jalapeno Jelly. Here is a picture of the finished product. I am sure at this point mom and dad are tired of me calling and asking so many questions about the process. I am still quite worried that it will not set up right. It seems runny enough to be syrup at this point. Maybe it will taste good no matter how thick or thin it turns out to be. I think I will need to take mom and dad some for all their help :)

I want one!!! It's okay if it's thin. It sets up a little in the fridge after you open it. Anyway, thin is better for dipping Jalapeno Poppers in!

Yummy. I have a friend at work who makes jalapeño jelly every year and I LOVE it. SO GOOD! I've never had a raspberry jalapeño jelly though; it sounds amazing.
