Bonus Leave

Sunday at 3:52am David's phone started ringing. David still half asleep answered it. It was one of his co-workers. He was stuck, drunk, downtown by the mall with no way home and didn't want to use his red card for a taxi. I guess he had been calling around and David was the only one who answered the phone. In the process of calling around David's co-worker called the LPO who did not answer so this co-worker left a nasty message on his phone. DUMB!!! David being the kind of person that he is went and picked up his co-worker from the downtown mall and drove him home to Chula Vista. All this took a little over an hour. Monday at work David's co-worker was called out and now has to do daily dress uniform checks for the week and he also will be on LS Duty all week and he got a counseling chit (like a bad report). Monday after David gets home for work we are sitting down to eat and his phone rings. It was David's chief. Because David helped his co-worker out he gets a bonus 24 hour leave :)

Just a side note yesterday in Coronado it was 100 degrees and here at home it was 95 degrees I felt like I was back in St. George and it really sucked because our pool is closed every Monday for cleaning and it was way to hot outside to go anywhere else.
