So I have been reading in Proverbs for my personal Scripture reading. I have been trying hard to study it out and have been finding some humor in my reading. These are a couple of my favorites so far.
Proverbs 18:22 Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord.
Oh yea, so all you men out there with wives you have a GOOD thing! Remember that!
Proverbs 23:13-14 Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die.
14 Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell.
So basically the Scriptures are giving us parents permission to beat our children....Right?
I should show these verses to Christy's counselor when she is chastising me for spanking Christy.

Elder Nelson came to speak to us and he told us not to ever spank our children. I was disappointed that he did not give us other options on more effective ways. :) Sometimes a spanking is just what works. We try really hard not to spank anymore though. The scriptures say beat em and the modern day Apostles say not too. I'm so confused! hehehe, just kidding. I do like those scriptures. I should read them to Buddy. He's always hitting Kenneth and then when Kenneth hits back he says that the scriptures say not to hit back. (apparently they say you should always try to be the one hitting first) He takes great stock into what the scriptures say. So maybe if I tell him that they say I can spank him with a rod, he'll be good? It's worth a shot!
I totally think you should show her those verses and claim freedom of religion to spank her wee butt!
